Rome By Night

When the sun goes down in the city of Rome, you can enjoy the nighttime views of the famous squares and streets lit by thousands of lights! The Eternal City,  so grand and monumental by day,  becomes intimate and approachable as the crowds and traffic lessen.

Depending on the period of the year in which you’ll be staying in Rome you can consider starting your evening tour around 7 pm/7:30 pm. Your Rome In Limo professional driver will pick you up right at your hotel, ready to ensure you make the best of your evening.

Sitting comfortably in our luxury Mercedes vehicle (sedan or minivan according to your party’s size) you will begin your tour with two of the city’s most important and beautiful piazzas or squares: Piazza Navona and Piazza della Rotonda.

Walking along the cobbled street of Piazza Navona softly illuminated as if by torchlight, it’s easy to imagine life in a different period, while enjoying a late-night gelato in the warm summer nights or a warm cappuccino in the cooler spring and autumn nights.

Piazza della Rotonda includes the world-famous Pantheon, once an ancient Roman temple now a Christian church. Sit awhile at the fountain right in front of the entrance and watch the people going by to get a feel of the local’s life in the city.

We will then continue exploring the Old City and then set off towards the Ancient Forum and Coliseum. Here you will experience Rome’s architectural masterpieces, dramatically illuminated under bright lights, without the daytime crowds.

Your driver will then take you on Via Giulia, through the famous illuminated Piazza Farnese, across the Tiber river to St. Peter’s Basilica and square, and finally concluding your tour with an ascent up Janiculum hill, Rome’s highest viewpoint.

At the top, you’ll enjoy a spectacular evening view of the entire city along with a glass of Italian sparkling wine, before heading back to your hotel.

This is a 3-hour driven tour of the city which also includes stopping for a nice snack or to take pictures.
