What is a Shared Shore Excursion?

If you’ve been doing some research for your upcoming Mediterranean Cruise you’ve probably found several Shore Excursion options that will take you to your desired touring location. Depending on how much you’re willing to spend, your options range from low quality but cheap, like a coach tour to high quality but expensive, like a private tour. That probably goes without saying!

The choice is hard, but remember that you’re on holiday and you want to make the best of it! Your choice should fall on a dedicated onshore tour that will allow you to see what you want without stress! This means you’ll need a private tour, where everything revolves around you. Where all you need to worry about is having a good time!

As mentioned before, a private tour is the most expensive option, but what if we told you there is a way to enjoy it while paying as little as a coach tour? Impossible, you say? Not really! All you need to do is opt for a Rome in Limo Shared onshore tour!

So, what exactly is a Shared Tour? A Shared Tour is a private onshore tour, which you choose to share with a few fellow cruisers. The groups are kept small, 6 or 8 people maximum, so that we can ensure our staff’s dedicated attention to each member.

What do you get with one of our Shared Tours? You get one of our latest model Mercedes Vans, which features comfortable and spacious seats and air conditioning. You get one of our fluent English speaking professional driver, who will ensure your day will be a memorable one.

How do you book a Tour Sharing onshore tour? There are two ways to go about it: You can either join an active group or create your own group. The choice is yours!

Joining an active group is quite easy. You can select Groups Closing Soon on the top right of the screen and get an overview of all the currently available groups. Otherwise, you can select your port of call, then the tour you’re interested in. On the right of your chosen tour page, you’ll find the groups you can join.  At this point, you can either join a group or contact the group creator if you’d like more information regarding this particular group.

In case you don’t find a suitable group from your ship, you can always Create your own group. This is very easy too! First, you select the tour that you wish to have, then the date on the calendar under the tour description and fill in the form with your details.

Whether you are joining an active group or creating your own,  you will receive an email from our office confirming your request.

Tour Sharing is available from all the major ports of call in Italy: Civitavecchia, Livorno, La Spezia, Naples & Salerno, Messina, Taormina & Naxos, Palermo, Trapani  and Catania.
