Visit the Amalfi Coast From Your Ship in Naples/Salerno

Among the ports of call in Italy,  included in a Mediterranean Cruise,  you’ll find the port of Naples. Your ship will be greeted by Mount Vesuvius, which rises to the south of the bay of Naples. If this is your first time in the area your goal is probably the Amalfi Coast.

There is one thing you need to keep in mind though. The Amalfi Coast is actually a  part of the Sorrentine Peninsula, which stars just after Pompeii and extends all the way to Salerno. The part that goes from Positano to Vietri sul Mare is the real Amalfi Coast, but it goes without saying that all the Sorrentine Peninsula is worth seeing!

Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Sorrento, these are the most famous towns on the Sorrentine Peninsula and on the Amalfi Coast. The ones you’ll want to see. But if this is your first time in the area you’ll probably want to visit Pompeii, too.

Now,  the area being quite vast you obviously can’t see it all in the limited time you have onshore, so what should you see? Where to start from? What can be fitted in a day onshore without having to rush? This is where Rome in Limo can help!

Rome in Limo has many many years of experience in organizing tours of the area. We know which are the best attractions, but most of all, which and how many can be managed in one day without rushing. After all, you are on vacation and all you should worry about is having a good time!

So what are your options? The most sought out attractions are Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. This day onshore will let you experience the Amalfi Coast, but also the Sorrentine Peninsula all the way to the Bay of Naples where Pompeii is located.

An alternative is Amalfi Coast, Positano & Ravello.  This tour let’s you concentrate completely on the Amalfi Coast. Experiencing the best the Amalfi Coast has to offer: great views, excellent food, warm people and Limoncello!

If you have already visited Pompeii and do not wish to go back, a great alternative is Herculaneum. The site is less known than Pompeii, but truly as fascinating! To visit Herculaneum and still enjoy the Amalfi Coast you should consider Herculaneum, Sorrento & Positano.

We’ve seen some of the onshore tours available from your ship if it docks in Naples, but what if your ship docks in Salerno? No worries! Rome in Limo is able to offer the same onshore tours even from this port! If you wish to see the complete selection of tours we can offer from either port of call, just click here.
