Happy New Year 2018 from Rome

If you’re lucky enough to be in Rome for New Year’s Eve, get ready for the party of a lifetime! So grab a jacket and a set of earplugs and hit the streets for a citywide celebration!

When it comes to the major Capital Cities in the world,  Rome is up to the task and like the others will put on a large fireworks display on New Year’s Eve.

The best places to gather for New Year are the Coliseum and the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument at Piazza Venezia, both within walking distance from one another. These two venues always attract large crowds and the atmosphere is always festive.

Apart from the fireworks display at the Colosseum and the Vittorio Emanuele II monument, fireworks and some of the great performances of the most popular local bands of the moment attract a huge crowd at Piazza del Popolo, not just around the corner but easily reachable in 10 minutes on foot.

If you’d rather have a great vantage point to see the beauty of the Rome fireworks display and are not too keen on large crowds, then you should consider going to the summit of the Gianicolo Hill to gaze over the skyline of Rome as the colors explode before you.

If you plan to eat out make sure you make reservations since most restaurants offer New Year’s Dinner Parties which have limited places available.

We hope you enjoy your NEW YEAR’S EVE in Rome and wish you a GREAT 2018!
