Rome in 2 Days – Package Tour

Most people only have one day to visit Rome. but if you are among the lucky ones who have a few days in the city you can take advantage of Rome in Limo’s Rome 2 Day Package, which combines the best attractions with the best service!

One your first day, your Rome in Limo driver will come pick you up directly at your hotel in Rome, ready to take you and your family through a great tour of Rome . We suggest an early start, to make the best of your time for the day.

Rome in Limo drivers are professional fluent English speaking drivers so that you don’t need to worry about understanding what you’re being told. You certainly don’t want to go through a whole day with someone who isn’t a clear English speaking! That would be a real stress! Not with us!

You’ll be driven to the historical center of the city, where you will be greeted by the Victor Emanuel II Monument. Most people refer to it as “the Wedding Cake”. As a matter of fact, it does look like one!

Close to the Victor Emanuel II Monument, you’ll find the Capitoline Hill, the
Ancient Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. You can choose to enter the Colosseum, but to do that, you need to make sure you have gotten your tickets in advance!

When you book your tickets to the Colosseum you will not find a scheduled entrance time since they are valid throughout the day. Tickets include entrance to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, but you can still see most of the Roman Forum from the terrace on the Capitoline Hill or from the sidewalk close to the Colosseum, so if you want to have more time to spend at other sites you can consider seeing the Roman Forum from the outside only.

After your visit to the Colosseum, you’ll drive by the Circus Maximus, to get to the Pantheon and Navona Square, where you can enjoy a nice gelato! From here, you’ll drive to the Spanish Steps and then on to the Trevi Fountain.

Of course, there will also be time for lunch! Your driver will suggest where to eat based on your desires. You can choose a nice Italian restaurant, to enjoy a typical light lunch or a quick Pizza bite on the way, to make the best of your touring time. That’s entirely up to you! In the late afternoon, after the tour, your driver will take you back to your hotel in the city.

On your second day in Rome you will need to reach the Vatican Museums, where you will meet one of our licensed walking guides, who will take you through 3 hours inside the site. The guide will be waiting for you opposite the Vatican Museums Entrance, in front of the Caffè Vaticano, holding a sign with your name on.

Please remember to get tickets to the Vatican Museums in advance to avoid the long line for those who need to purchase the tickets. Tickets have closed numbers so you will be required to insert the entrance time, which is suggested at 9 am. If for any reason you are unable to get tickets for this entrance, please remember to let us know and we will schedule your tour around the entrance time you have booked.

The Vatican Museums are truly vast: they spread over 7 kilometers, that’s about 4.4 miles! So there is no way you get to see all that’s worth seeing in such a short time, but our guide will ensure you see the most important artifacts without wasting any time!

The Sistine Chapel that is the highlight of the tour, where your private guide will explain in detail the work and study of the master Michelangelo for creating this magnificent ceiling. The tour ends with St Peter’s Basilica where you will explore the glorious baroque art and Michelangelo’s Pietà and end in St Peter’s Square for the last of many picture moments.

Rome in Limo’s Rome 2 Day Package Tour is offered only as a private tour, not a shared one, but if you make friends at the hotel and wish to share the tour with them, you are welcomed to do that, so long as you advise on the final number of people in your party in advance. In this case, please remember that fares vary depending on the number of participants.
