Visit Florence From Your Ship in Livorno

For those of you who wish to focus their attention on the countless treasures Florence holds, Rome in Limo has designed a tour from the ship in Livorno that will let you do just that!

Once your ship has arrived in the port of Livorno, your driver will greet you just off the gangway of your ship. He will have a sign with your name on so to be easily spotted. Your driver will be a professional Rome in Limo driver, fluent in English and knowledgeable in the area you are to visit, ready to make sure you enjoy your day onshore to the max!

Sitting comfortably in one of Rome in Limo’s latest models Mercedes vehicles, you will enjoy a pleasant drive through the lovely Tuscan countryside, dotted with quaint towns and villages overlooking the endless vineyards and olive groves, you will reach your destination for the day: Florence.

Some of the Florentine treasures you can visit are the Church of Santa Croce, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace, the Uffizi and the Accademia Gallery. The choice is yours!

Most tours allow you to visit the Accademia Museum only because of time involved with more than one destination but since you will spend the duration of your tour in Florence you have enough time to visit both the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Museum. You can book the Uffizi tickets during the same phone call to book the Accademia tickets. We suggest you book entrance at 10:30 am to have enough time to enjoy it.

The Accademia Gallery houses the David by Michelangelo, together with many other masterpieces by Botticelli, Ghirlandaio and Orcagna, to name just a few, will take about 40 minutes to visit. To ensure you don’t waste any time in line you have to reserve your tickets in advance at 1:30 pm. To do this you need to call 011 39 055 294883 (from the US) and follow the instructions. Keep in mind the time difference when calling. Office hours are from 8.30 am to 6:30 pm Italian Local Time.

Please keep in mind that the Accademia Gallery is closed on Mondays, as are most museums in the city, so should your ship dock on this day, perhaps you should consider another shore excursion from the port of Livorno.
